Description:  At many crossings between Buffalo and the greater Cleveland area, NS & CSX are feet apart. When in this case, CSX has a passing move but there is nothing taking place on NS, as a safety measure, the gate and outer lights will turn on so if an NS move shows up, your car won't be hit while waiting for the CSX move to pass.

Description:  In the previous shot in this album, a CSX move was passing by behind me. To ensure safety, NS has the crossing with gate wired to come down to keep people from being hit should an NS move show up. While the CSX move was going by, an NS train tripped the circuit, fully lighting the crossbucks.
